When it comes to self-care we sometimes don’t make enough time for it. Self-care is essential to happy and healthy living so we must make time to care for ourselves. The good news is, self-care products do not need to be expensive and you don’t need to go over the top to treat yourself.
A good book, a cup of tea, or a warm fuzzy blanket are just a few things that you could use to help you relax. I’ve picked out a few things I love and use regularly and I hope you love them too! Even if it’s not your style, they also make awesome gifts for friends and family.
Table of Contents
Here are 10 self-care products you need in your life:
Scented Candles
Scented Candles are great to wind down after a long day or even just to set the mood (wink wink). There’s something about a great smelling scented candle that makes you feel good inside. Buying candles online can be a hit or miss but I was pleasantly surprised when these arrived at my door. They smell great! And the best thing about these is they’re made of soy wax so it doesn’t release harmful toxins while lit.

Body Scrub
I never really cared about body scrubs. I always thought that’s something bougie people do. But boy was I wrong! Consistent use of a body scrub will have your skin feeling soft and moisturized. Use this in the shower twice a week, you won’t regret it. I like to pay special attention to the areas of my body that are usually the driest – hands, elbows, knees, and feet.
Facial Steamer
Face steaming is the key to making skin care products work! Use facial steam once or twice or week to open your pores then apply your favorite serums and moisturizer. Be sure to wash your face before steaming. You don’t want to open your pores to dirt and oil that may cause a breakout.
Journal
Journaling is such a great way to improve mental health. Putting your thoughts, emotions, and goals into writing is therapeutic. Instead of harboring emotions, put it on paper! It will boost your mood and reduce stress. Also writing goals down helps to visualize them better and helps to put things into perspective.
Mud Mask
There’s nothing like a good mud mask. Detoxify, nourish and moisturize your skin with this Himalayan Clay mud mask. Your skin will thank you for it!
Multivitamins
Beauty starts from within. The best serums and moisturizers in the world won’t help you if your body isn’t healthy. Although eating a healthy well-balanced diet is key, multivitamins are also very important for nourishment to the body.
Weighted Blanket
This right here is the holy grail! I didn’t understand the hype at first but after my grandpa passed away and I had trouble sleeping, I decided to buy one. I have gotten some of the best sleep of my life with this weighted blanket. It’s great for anyone who suffers from anxiety to help calm the body for a good night’s sleep.
A Good Book
Add this book to your reading list NOW! With over 130,000 reviews on Amazon, this is one of the best murder-mystery novels ever written!
Essential Oil Diffuser
Diffusers are a great way to make your home smell heavenly. Just put a few drops of your favorite essential oils, turn on the mood lighting and relax.
Planner
I’ve been using the Passion Planner since 2017. It’s one of the best planners out there to help you set goals and keep you organized. There’s a section for a mind map/road map to help plan and break down your goals to increase productivity. They also have a program where for every planner bought, they give one away to schools, organizations, or individuals in need. Apart from keeping me organized, that’s more than enough reason to buy one.
These are just a few self-care products that can bring a little joy in your life that are not over the top expensive. What are some other self-care products that you love? Let me know in the comments!
